The UK is interested in Moroccan trade: the UKEF role

UKEF in Morocco

Moroccan trade would be greatly enhanced. Thanks to its new #IEFE (IThe #UKEF (United Kingdom Export Finance) recently announced that UK and nternational Export Finance Executive) based in #Casablanca, £4 billion is now available for buyers who have projects in the country (at least the 20% of the overall contract value should be sourced from UK suppliers), to help strengthen new opportunities for both countries. £2.3 billion was deployed in 2021 and in 2019 it was almost £1 billion.
Being a country that is looking for a sustainable future, #Morocco offers a bunch of opportunities for #UK businesses, such as energy transition, water desalination and infrastructures. And thanks to its geographical position it has a great appeal for investments in all Africa.

Not only in Casablanca!

But the Casablanca branch is only the latest development for UKEF. It currently has 18 managers all over the #Americas, #Asia and #Africa and they want to increase around 30 in 2023. IEFEs work closely with overseas buyers, financial lenders, Trade Commissioners and British Ambassadors to engage with overseas governments and multinational companies looking to buy from the UK – creating vital trading opportunities for #British businesses.
